Hey everyone,
This time, we've got a new free DLC for you, along with revamped Scouting, a Glossary to clarify gameplay mechanisms and UI elements, as well as major backend improvements. It would be no understatement to say that this is a huge stepping stone for us and the Riven Realms.
Hello everyone,
Recently, we have published posts about several bigger and smaller features and other goodies, such as the Glossary, improvements, new Skills, and so on. There is, however, something else we have been spending a lot of time on, and probably most of our players won’t even notice the outcome.
Hey everyone,
We are working on something special for you, especially those who would enjoy picking the Knowledge ambition in a future playthrough. Our next free DLC will feature the Sunken Tower and the Knowledge ambition victory. That’s right, you will get the chance to explore that location and in doing so, win the game! Let’s look into it, shall we?
Following last week’s implementation of both Initiative track improvements and key bindings, the team has been hard at work on additional quality of life improvements. We’ve listened closely to your feedback, and we’re pleased to announce two new upcoming features: custom chart notes and custom journal notes.
The artbook of Vagrus is finally here (well, technically it is also on its way to everyone who ordered it) and holding it in our hands is indeed fantastic.
Admittedly, putting the book together was quite rough. Some of us thought that pulling it together from already existing artwork and writing texts around the art is going to take a couple of weeks. Turns out, compiling and writing something this big for physical publishing takes a handful of months, more like. All this in spite of doing a sort of a dry run previously with the smaller (A5) art booklet that went into the Collectors' Editions, albeit that had no texts accompanying the images.
We talked about the Collector's Edition of Vagrus in a previous post and now the time has come to reveal the Emperor's Edition! With all the elements that come in the box having arrived and being prepared for shipping, we can show them off, starting with one of the stars of the show: the Finndurarth miniature.
This week’s devblog is all about the plethora of quests being added to Vagrus with the full launch on October 5th. The update will include a revamped UI, a new companion to recruit, and plenty of quests to find on your journies across the wastelands. Let’s take a look at what’s coming!
Revamped User Interface and Extended Campaign Map
The Twin Towers are ancient fortifications guarding the main mountain pass of the Sepis Mountains, which has always been the border between the Province and the 'lands beyond'. One of the forts sits on the western, the other on the eastern slope of the pass, only a mile from each other. The keeps fell into disrepair due to relative peace ruling the Empire's middle regions for centuries on end. Only the eastern fort is maintained today yet it usually has a token garrison whose main task is to gather road tax from travelers. These days, however, you might find more activity there due to the closing of the Emperor's Road.
Hey Folks,
with so many of you well over the hundred hours mark in the game, it was high time for us to add the opportunity to actually win it. The first winning condition we have implemented is the Renown victory. The other two, Wealth and Knowledge will become available in the 1.0 release later this year.
There are a large number of settlements (cities, towns, villages, outposts, encampments) that you can visit in Vagrus, all of them unique locations even though they share some characteristics and features. For a long while now, we have planned a rework for the original UI - as we usually do with all UI elements, really.
