Teaser: Phlegetos Bridge by Night
08 Jun | 10:00 am

As we inch closer and closer to the release of our upcoming expansion, teaser season is now in full swing. This week we have one of our favorite locations from the Bronze Desert on display: Phlegetos Bridge. You will also notice that night has fallen, and that two of Xeryn’s moons are out in full force.

As for the location itself, it’s certainly a doozy: under the direct purview of the Legate, Phlegetos Bridge is a staging ground for the Chimera Legion, and it is famous for its local tavern – a seedy hovel located below the Bridge itself where legionnaires, mercenaries, merchants, and all manner of gamblers congregate.

Phlegetos Bridge also finds itself in a uniquely precarious situation, owing primarily to the blockade that has been set up on both sides, as decreed by the Senate. This has been put in place to avoid refugees from the east as well as locking the Ahari insurgents in, but also to protect the Legate’s interests in the region. Yet the blockade allows those from the east to trade in the middle of the bridge but not to enter the Bronze Desert. Similarly, for those vagri who enter from the west, the same is true – passing beyond the eastern blockade toward the Forlorn Waste is strictly prohibited. On top of it all, you can see the murky waters beneath the stone-hewn structure – the River Lethe, well-known for its mysterious effects: when touched, the waters rob the person of their memories; sometimes all of them.

Will you be careful enough to avoid such a fate when you visit Phlegetos? One can only hope.

Until next time, stay strong, stay vigilant, and conquer the wasteland!
