As part of our ongoing efforts to expand the team, one of the tasks we set about doing was hiring a couple of new writers. James is one such writer; born in Zambia to British parents, he grew up in New Zealand where he took to games, fantasy books, and D&D at an early age – wasting far too much of his time running campaigns with his school and university mates.

Following on from last week’s post about our overhaul of manual scouting, today we’re excited to delve a little deeper into our newest feature: Auto-scouting.
First off, let’s talk a little about our goals with these changes. We had been aware for some time that many players did not feel scouting was worth the investment, so when we set out to rework it, our approach was multi-pronged: we needed to provide changes to scouting in general that made it compelling and useful to engage with manually, while also offering a lower investment approach with some level of trade-off with the automated version.

As it has become standard since the release of Vagrus, the team has been hard at work on another much-requested update – this time it’s scouting we’re addressing. Players have been expressing their concerns about the state of scouting for some time now, and we’re happy to announce that we think we have managed to bring it to a place where it offers a great deal to those who are willing to make use of its more niche qualities while incorporating enough concrete drawbacks that it does not become a default or even mandatory choice for vagri out traversing the wasteland.

Hey everyone,
We are working on something special for you, especially those who would enjoy picking the Knowledge ambition in a future playthrough. Our next free DLC will feature the Sunken Tower and the Knowledge ambition victory. That’s right, you will get the chance to explore that location and in doing so, win the game! Let’s look into it, shall we?

Hey everyone,
In our previous project update on feature requests, we hinted at improving map movement. Great news – we got the moves! And we are happy to share them with you as promised. However, please be advised that what we outlined below is subject to change as it is yet to be tested extensively.

Hello everyone,
in a recent post we introduced Viktor to you -- our newly joined junior coder. He’s been working with our other junior Unity developer, Beni. Beni has also decided on a career in coding precisely due to his love for video games, especially heavily narrative-driven ones. In fact, he had been wanting to work on a game like Vagrus for quite a while now.

The new update is here, and with it comes a free DLC Companion! Note that all the features and changes are automatically accessed via the update, while the Undead chef Vorax is available by downloading the new DLC for free. Now let’s see in a bit more detail what each of these additions bring. As ever, you can find the detailed patch notes at the end of the page.

With the release of Vagrus behind us along with the production of the Collectors' and Emperors' Editions, we are getting back into the swing of developing new stuff for the game. We are now concentrating on our first free-LC, which will add the companion called Vorax into the game. He's been shown off before but since then he's received a bit of a visual overhaul. He'll come with his own background, loyalty questline, and unique abilities, providing players a much-needed second option for a Supercargo.

We are always excited to see Vagrus popping up here and there when curated lists of games are concerned. This time, RPG Codex's users took to vote for Game of the Year and we made top ten! We are honored that Vagrus came in 10th place from a large selection of great games, ending up in exquisite company.

We are happy to report that after a long, drawn-out battle with boxes, wrappers, and the employees of the postal services, we managed to send out all the physical rewards we could. All that remains are a handful of rewards where some information is missing (we did not receive a name or an address from the customer) or that wasn't picked up. But the vast majority of the rewards are on their way - if not at their destinations already.
