This week we’re getting down to brass tacks: our first upcoming DLC this year and the Companions therein. Development is coming along smoothly, and we thought we’d share the highlights by delving into some details – without giving much away this early.

New Build Is Live - Patch v1.151
29 Jan | 5:00 pm

Hey everyone,

Our original plan was to kick the year off with a neat content update (more about it here) in early February together with a host of fixes but the team crushed so many bugs in January – some of them critical – that we decided to release the update earlier. So here we are. We’ll follow this up soon with what we originally intended. Very soon, actually. As always, the majority of the bugs we have fixed were reported by our amazing community. We can’t thank you enough for helping us improve Vagrus, but we’ll try with additional content in the future.

Vagrus Demo on Xbox
07 Dec | 1:00 pm

Hey everyone,

You might be aware that Vagrus has been verified on Steam Deck but did you know that the game is – sort of – available on Xbox, too? As part of the 'ID@Xbox Game Demo Fest: Winter 2023', for a limited time, the demo version of Vagrus is available on Xbox. That’s right! Back during summer, their event team put out a call for game demos. We figured why not apply, so we did and we made it into the prestigious 33 selected demos!

Expansion Release Date Update
21 Sep | 10:00 am

It’s been a while since we posted an update on the release of Sunfire and Moonshadow, and given our previous announcement in May on aiming to release the expansion in Q3 2023, it’s only fair that we share a project update.

In the last few months, the whole team has been hard at work to set up and fill the huge new region we picked for our upcoming DLC that slowly grew into an Expansion. It’s been a daunting task given the size of the Bronze Desert and our goal to keep the standards we set in the main game regarding engaging storytelling and activities. We wanted to pick a region that was not tied up by existing in-world historical events too much, so we can be more free of those constraints when designing new storylines but that freedom also meant that there were more things to expand upon and work out the finer details of – locations, NPCs, dynamics, and storylines. Overall, it has taken a lot longer to create all the content we set out to but we are finally getting there.

Expansion Teaser: Bandul Character Animations
06 Jul | 10:00 am

The Bandul are desert-dwelling nomads native to the Bronze Desert. They live in so-called "sakrets": a couple of families banded together, herding their animals across the arid wastelands of northern Xeryn, between oases they hold sacred and that are integral parts of their roaming lifestyle. If you choose to venture into the northwestern part of the continent, you are bound to encounter them. Whether they will be on your side or your bitter enemies is up to you and the decisions you make in the upcoming expansion for Vagrus.

Expansion Announcement: Sunfire and Moonshadow
11 May | 9:00 pm

The time has finally come to announce our upcoming expansion for Vagrus and go into a little detail about what we’ve been working on for the past seven months. It’s been a long, hard road, and while we’re slowly making our way to the finish line, we still have a great deal of testing to do, plus numerous final touches to iterate upon. It’s a terribly exciting time at Lost Pilgrims Studio, and it’s time to share at least some of it with those who made it possible: you, the players. The expansion’s store page is available for viewing and is ready to be wishlisted on Steam, GOG, and Epic.

We Had a Visitor
20 Apr | 10:00 am

Big news: we had a visitor!

Last week, we had the pleasure of meeting PeterJ, one of our long-time players. If you are present on our Discord server, you might know him – he’s quite active there whenever new builds are published for the game. Apart from family, friends – and of course participants at cons – he is the first living, breathing individual we've met in person who knows and plays Vagrus. Ever since our Fig campaign back in 2019, he has played around a whopping 1,000 hours! Very impressive if you ask us, and we are absolutely honored by his dedication. We are also grateful for his continued assistance with providing invaluable feedback on preview builds in particular.

The Most Dangerous Ruins of Terra Supra – Part 3
16 Mar | 10:00 am

Another week, another lore post - this time we return with the third part of our ongoing series of articles about perilous ruins of the Riven Realms (more specifically, the northern regions called terra supra). We will look at three more very dangerous places that used to be centers of civilization in the fabled past, before the Calamity ruined most of Xeryn. This time, on the chopping block are Urad, the city lost in the fog, once-mighty Quathos of the Dwarves, and ominous and all too quiet Valley of Sleepers. Let’s dive in!

New Build Is Live - Patch v1.1300221S - Codename: Magnificatus est Controls
22 Feb | 10:00 am

Hey everyone,

Today we are releasing a large patch with features that we’ve been talking about for some time, most of which are a reiteration from the post we released about a public Beta weeks ago. With that Beta now over, you can now scroll down to see all of the details regarding our implementation of full controller support, UI and text zooming, improved initial game loading times, and much, much more. Alongside these, we have also implemented a new pop-up window for players to see what’s new when they load up the game, and a DLC catalog, which lets you see what content you already own, as shown below.
