Having just recently released our first free DLC, we’ve been pleased with the feedback so far, which has included a number of game journalists covering the release, along with the new features that it brought.
First off was Liam Dawe, the owner of GamingOnLinux; he wrote a piece on his website that you can find here. Linux gamers must be starving for some dark SRPG action, as they also covered the release with an article at linuxgamenews.com.
In our previous project update, we discussed the changes of combat, as well as alterations we made to the Log and the Character Sheets. This week’s update covers modifications to the Initiative (INI) track that is receiving some much-needed polish.
Initiative Order Track - Before the Enhancements
The new update is here, and with it comes a free DLC Companion! Note that all the features and changes are automatically accessed via the update, while the Undead chef Vorax is available by downloading the new DLC for free. Now let’s see in a bit more detail what each of these additions bring. As ever, you can find the detailed patch notes at the end of the page.
Hey everyone,
as we’ve mentioned before, we’ve been in the process of expanding our team - the unintended side-effect of which was our work slowing down a bit. Looking for new people, reviewing their test tasks, and interviewing them do take up an awful lot of time and energy. The effort, however, yielded several new hires who are on their probation period right now.
Once the new Companion, namely the corpulent Undead chef called Vorax, gets added into the game, players will find that true to his word, he can indeed cook for the crew. Choices include his famous shroom brew, the dangerous-looking kelp soup, the fabled Dragon egg omelet, and even a mean Tarkian coffee (and more!). All of these provide different bonuses to crew, Companions, or your vagrus. We hope you'll enjoy this aspect of his abilities as much as we enjoyed designing it.
On behalf of Lost Pilgrims Studio, happy Easter to everyone who celebrates it! The Companions are already busy hiding and finding eggs. :)
Stay tuned and conquer the wasteland!

Hey everyone,
We managed to squeeze in quite a number of improvements and reworks while new content is being created by the team. It includes a lot of things that we have been unable to rework until now, so we're super satisfied that we got around to them. In this patch, we specifically concentrated on Companion Combat UI and the Game Log, but there are a lot of other additions and fixes, too. We've talked about these changes here and here. You can find the detailed patch notes below.
In Part I., we discussed upcoming changes that are not combat-related for the most part, so in this one we'll focus on updates to combat, as well as changes we've made to the Log.
Game Log Changes
We've felt for a while now that despite providing important information, the game log is not as informative as we would like it to be. And so we took our tools to it to give it a nice facelift and rework.
With the release of Vagrus behind us along with the production of the Collectors' and Emperors' Editions, we are getting back into the swing of developing new stuff for the game. We are now concentrating on our first free-LC, which will add the companion called Vorax into the game. He's been shown off before but since then he's received a bit of a visual overhaul. He'll come with his own background, loyalty questline, and unique abilities, providing players a much-needed second option for a Supercargo.
With March well underway, we are finally stepping out of the bug-fixing phase of the development of Vagrus. Of course, there are still a number of glitches and issues left (both smaller and more serious ones) but at least the improvements that we began designing and implementing in January are starting to bear fruit.
