This week, we are introducing you to a new type of enemy from the growing Imperial roster, coming with our rapidly-approaching expansion, Sunfire and Moonshadow. So, should you invoke the ire of Imperial legions, you might end up facing the peltas – sling-wielding legionnaires who swing their weapons in an arc and send their stones at their targets at very high speeds. These projectiles can pierce even sturdy shields and metal armor, causing massive damage. This makes the peltas a foe to be reckoned with; even seasoned warriors think twice before going toe to toe with them, which also makes them powerful allies should you side with the Chimera Legion in the expansion.
This week we’re here to bring you another teaser from our upcoming Sunfire and Moonshadow expansion, and this time it is something all but unheard of in the Riven Realms – a settlement virtually saturated with sylvan hues and replete with lush and lively flora and fauna. Revered by many for its serene lakes and verdant life, the oasis of Shahsgabat is a place of wonder and beauty in the otherwise arid wasteland of the northwest.
The Bandul are desert-dwelling nomads native to the Bronze Desert. They live in so-called "sakrets": a couple of families banded together, herding their animals across the arid wastelands of northern Xeryn, between oases they hold sacred and that are integral parts of their roaming lifestyle. If you choose to venture into the northwestern part of the continent, you are bound to encounter them. Whether they will be on your side or your bitter enemies is up to you and the decisions you make in the upcoming expansion for Vagrus.
With our expansion Sunfire and Moonshadow looming ever closer on the horizon, we decided to talk a bit about the most valuable treasure the expansion region has to offer: oil. Yes, indeed. Ever wondered where denizens of the Riven Realms get their precious oil? This week's teaser showcases one of the prime locations where they are found: throughout the Bronze Desert.
Hey everyone,
In this next installment of our little devlog series focused on the upcoming expansion Sunfire and Moonshadow, we are taking a look at the three new factions that your vagri will be able to ingratiate themselves with, earning their respect and a slew of rewards, of course.
Note that this post contains mild spoilers, so if you wish to wade into the expansion completely blind, perhaps postpone reading this until you have done so.
As we inch closer and closer to the release of our upcoming expansion, teaser season is now in full swing. This week we have one of our favorite locations from the Bronze Desert on display: Phlegetos Bridge. You will also notice that night has fallen, and that two of Xeryn’s moons are out in full force.
As for the location itself, it’s certainly a doozy: under the direct purview of the Legate, Phlegetos Bridge is a staging ground for the Chimera Legion, and it is famous for its local tavern – a seedy hovel located below the Bridge itself where legionnaires, mercenaries, merchants, and all manner of gamblers congregate.
It’s been a while since all of us had the chance to meet up for a nice night out together, kick back, relax, and socialize. Thus, we decided to take the chance and use the positive reception of our upcoming expansion as a reason to celebrate.
We at Lost Pilgrims have developed a tradition of team building wherein we knock back some drinks at one of Budapest’s geeky dive bars – Barcraft II, found in the heart of the city near Nyugati railway station. This is arguably much more conducive to bonding over than dull seminars and scavenger hunts.
Hey everyone,
With the announcement of Vagrus’s first expansion behind us, we thought that it’d be a good idea to create a short series of devlogs about certain frequently appearing topics regarding Sunfire and Moonshadow. The first of these – the one you’re reading – is about the region itself and its boundaries, with some lore tidbits sprinkled in. So, let’s get to it!
The time has finally come to announce our upcoming expansion for Vagrus and go into a little detail about what we’ve been working on for the past seven months. It’s been a long, hard road, and while we’re slowly making our way to the finish line, we still have a great deal of testing to do, plus numerous final touches to iterate upon. It’s a terribly exciting time at Lost Pilgrims Studio, and it’s time to share at least some of it with those who made it possible: you, the players. The expansion’s store page is available for viewing and is ready to be wishlisted on Steam, GOG, and Epic.
This week we have good news on multiple fronts; we will be able to reveal our expansion very soon (read on for more information) and we are pleased to announce that Lost Pilgrims Studio will again be participating in Tacticon, an annual digital convention hosted on Steam that celebrates strategy games from a wide array of talented developers. The convention is hosted by Indie strategy and tactics game publishers Firesquid and Hooded Horse and will run between the 11th and 15th of May. For full details of the event, you can visit Tacticon’s website here.
