The Many Faces of Javek
11 Jun | 10:00 am

After discussing the Supporter Pack cosmetics of the dark knight Sedarias in a previous article, we thought balance would be best served by taking a similar look at Javek, the sorcerer with telepathic powers. Naturally, these two Companions (who you can get via the “Old Acquaintances” DLC), as well as Vorax (who everyone gets for free), have their own unique appearances when you also get one of the Supporter Packs.

'Cultured' Renkailon Reveal
26 Mar | 10:00 am

The 'Cultured' Supporter Pack grants its owners two cosmetics for Renkailon: one for his regular look, and one for his alternative story ending that changes his look permanently. We based the new look of Ren on the Ashman tribes of the Forlorn Wastes. These nomads of the colorless, grey desert are a hardy folk, and they prefer to hide their bodies behind layers of cloth, leather, bone, and Quru shell pieces. It is not only practical as a defensive measure against the constant flow of ash and the brutal storms, but also enforces their unique cultural identity. Of course, Renkailon is not an Ashman, but the tribes are known to accept outsiders who fully embrace their ways, so one can imagine this (non-canon) version of Ren as such an individual.

It is a perilous world full of secrets, wrapped in near-boundless gloom, and it leads every which way one can imagine. And yet, dear traveler, these things are not all that await interlopers.

The Old Subterranean Realm
11 Dec | 10:00 am

Today we’re taking you underground, into a realm obscured to most inhabitants of Xeryn. Beneath the broken sprawl of the Mountains of Fire lies a labyrinthine network of cyclopean tunnels: the roads of the ancient Dwarven kingdom of Dvendar Tharr. During Xeryn’s Third Age, before the Calamity wreaked untold havoc, these passages were used for trade, marching armies, and all manner of other activities. In fact, the majority of Dwarves during the period favored them over paths above ground. Small fortresses stood at important crossroads or straddled major causeways, and by now, many of them have crumbled to rubble.

At the Heart of Ruin Coming to Nintendo
09 Dec | 11:00 am

We’re excited to finally reveal that At the Heart of Ruin will arrive on Nintendo Switch on December 22. It is the last platform to receive the expansion due to its longer approval process, but that extra time worked in everyone’s favor. Drawing on the wealth of feedback from players across all other platforms, we’ve been able to refine, tweak, and polish the experience even further.
