One of the more (arguably) cultured scavenger gangs of Varnurud, the Sons of the Mountain, take their name from their dedication to the region’s now-extinct Dwarves, lost to the fiery death that consumed the Dvendar Tharr during the Calamity. Gang members identify with and wish to uphold the great Dwarven legacy that they would say echoes through the ages.

As you can see, they certainly look the part and, unsurprisingly, most warriors of the Sons are heavily bearded, revere Dwarven artifacts of all varieties, and, they would say, are destined to rule the broken Mountains of Fire.

There’s only one small issue: none of them are Dwarves.

They would say that’s beside the point; after all, their beliefs come from their prophet, Kahrav, who was, in fact, a Dwarf. And who exactly was this Kahrav, and what are the scavenger gang’s true goals? That, dear vargus, is a question that shall be answered in due time, for there is much to learn of the Sons and their peculiar ways.
