This week we wanted to confirm that the second cosmetic supporter pack for Vagrus is coming along nicely, and also provide a little peak into said progress. These supporter packs are ways to further aid the development of Vagrus and our studio in general, and they provide a cosmetic for every Companion in the game as a “thank you”.

Our players decided to pick this next pack’s theme in a vote on our discord late last year, which was very exciting. And so, the small DLC is going to be called ‘Cultured’ Supporter Pack, referring to the disparate cultural influences the cosmetics have, all drawing from in-world sources, of course.

In that vein, this version of Nedir here was imagined as a Shalimi sorceress, a member of a Dajmahan clan of female mage-priestesses who adhere to the esoteric philosophy associated with Sha, the benevolent energy that makes the world go around according to them. Naturally, she could almost certainly never be the part of that coven of spellweavers for real, since she is not Dajmahan, but as with most other such cosmetics, it’s a fun what-if scenario. Or perhaps she is an impostor, having gained these garments through her vile ways. One can rarely be certain when it comes to Nedir.

The design was mostly based on real-life African and Meso-american cultures from ancient times, with decidedly tribal elements, a touch of regality, and some precious metals. It’s much more colorful than what you’d typically see on Xeryn – a nice change of pace, if you ask us!
