Turn-based Thursday Fest Wrap Up
19 Jun | 10:00 am

Last week marked the third occasion that the annual Turn-based Thursday Fest showcased some of the best turn-based indie-games on the market. There were hundreds of participating RPGs, sims, grand strategy games, deckbuilders, 4X games, roguelikes, puzzlers, city builders, and much, much more to choose from. This year it was even bigger and more spectacular than the previous years, presenting well-known games such as Baldur’s Gate 3, showing that turn-based games are still very much “in”.

Years ago, when we decided to create such a festival with talented devs like Terra Randoma (Terra Randoma, Those Far Stars), Trese Brothers (Star Traders: Frontiers & Cyber Knights: Flashpoint), Unleash the Giraffe (Seer’s Gambit & Obsidian Prince), we only hoped it would draw such interest and attention. We were happy to put the Lost Pilgrims graphic designers’ talent to work and support the event with the art assets, banners, and masks. This is how the owl became the festival’s mascot, which even got a little animation this year, receiving a lot of positive feedback.

A number of excellent content creators were showcasing the games, too, introducing their audience to new hidden and not so hidden gems. Vagrus was streamed by Nookrium, and you can watch his latest foray into the Riven Realms on Youtube:

After streaming the game, Zemalf decided to make a whole series of Let’s Plays of Vagrus, something we cannot wait to share with you later this summer.

Like every year, there was a massive Steam sale and tons of giveaways that helped gamers get their wishlisted games at excellent prices. If you have missed the discount on Vagrus, do not worry, because our sale season on various platforms continues and both Zemalf and Nookrium are preparing giveaways, so keep checking our social media and join our Discord server for more information.

That’s all we’ve got for today, so we’ll bid you farewell; stay safe, stay vigilant, and conquer the wasteland!
