While we are sad to let summer go, we are happy to welcome the new season, which brings changes in many respects. We are bringing not only a new patch, but the announcement of an updated bundle that includes our fellow developer’s new game!
A New Addition to the ‘Resourceful Realms’ Bundle
Our friends over at Crasleen Games have just moved Veterum out of Early Access! To celebrate the full release, we’re also happy to announce that Veterum has joined our Steam ‘Resourceful Realms’ Bundle, expanding it with another great indie strategy experience. If you’ve been looking for something new to play alongside Vagrus, this is a great opportunity to discover a fellow indie title and support the developers behind it.
In Veterum, you lead the last army of the Order of Gatekeepers through an open fantasy world where every battle demands careful planning. Hunt for rare artifacts, develop and equip your squad, and make the most of lighting, morale, and line of sight. You can even dig trenches, build barricades, light fires, and – yes – fell trees directly onto your enemies! If tactical games with a strong focus on strategy and an unforgiving fantasy world are your thing, be sure to check it out and take a look at the Resourceful Realms Bundle while you’re there!
Update “Retrader”
As for Vagrus, we’ve brought you a long list of changes and tweaks, this time focused on terrain and trade again – though there are many other aspects to the update. You can find the patch notes below:
Important Note: Considering the extent of the improvements, there is little to no chance that we broke nothing in the process. Assume that we did not want to make anyone's life harder. If you see something amiss, please flag it to us using the usual channels, like the inbuilt reporting tool (F1 button), forums, and our Discord server.

Retrader (Update 1.4000903N)
Trade & Economy
- Continued trade rebalancing: further tuned import pricing so now short-range and early-game trade is more worthwhile while capping runaway profits on very long hauls and huge comitati. Delivery Contract payouts remain reined in at the high end rather than inflated.
- Fixed settlement markets that could become permanently empty (showing only Faction Offers and no Goods). Affected saves recover on their own the next time you visit such a settlement.
- Reworked market restocking. Goods now replenish at a sensible pace based on rarity – common Goods return quickly, rare Goods take longer – instead of low-stock items failing to recover at all.
- Faction and Mercenary Contracts no longer vanish as quickly as before. The more rare the Contract, the longer it stays and they can no longer vanish while you are inside the settlement.
- The rebuilt River Umbra bridge now works as intended – it allows crossing for the player, as well as shortens both travel and trade distance across the river, unlike before. Affected saves are repaired automatically.
Combat
- The Teleportation Perk was changed: now it grants the character a bonus Action once per Turn in Companion Combat if their first Action was a basic Move.
- Temporary ally characters can no longer be leveled up or given Gear, and no longer appear as fully developable roster members.
Performance & Smoothness
- Removed a multi-second freeze that occurred when returning to the main menu.
- Fixed a long pause (up to 2 seconds) that occurred when opening certain, choice-heavy Events.
- Faster settlement screens: opening a settlement (and the comitatus panel on the map) no longer rebuilds every side panel from scratch, removing a 1–2 seconds of lag.
Localization
- Fixed missing characters in the language selector — Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese names now display correctly in the dropdown.
- Fixed raw %token% placeholders appearing in translated text that was caused by the translation tool altering the contents of substitution tags across many languages.
- Fixed blank option text in the ‘Ancient Contraption’ Exploration Challenge alongside other Exploration text issues.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue that caused the camera follow speed on the campaign map to be inconsistent with certain refresh rates. Now it is smoother, and the speed is consistent.
- Map node tooltips no longer display over the Event UI.
- Fixed an issue that caused the assignment of Deputies by drag-and-drop to move the wrong Companion or misplace assigned Deputies.
- The effects granted by the Bandul Combat Saddle (Equipment) no longer stack with those of Blinders and Combat Saddles (it was always meant to be a straight upgrade).
- Equipment category names are now displayed properly in tooltips (for example, "Protective Gear" instead of "ProtectiveGear").
- The "Open Save Folder" button now works properly on macOS as well.
- Another fix was deployed for the on-screen keyboard not appearing when entering text when using Steam Deck.
- Other general stability improvements.
That’s it for now, we hope you’ll find the continued updates to your liking. This fall, we will return with other updates, so keep an eye out. Until then, stay safe, stay awesome and conquer the wasteland!
