Since Vagrus’s console release on the 31st of March, life at the studio has been hectic. We’ve been fixing bugs and trying to keep up with the deluge of coverage on offer. It’s almost proven too much! In this article, we’ve put together some of said coverage for your perusal.
First and perhaps most poignantly, Playstation and Xbox elected to support us by featuring the game’s trailer on their wide-reaching platforms, helping the release to reach a lot of potential new players. Then, there are the sites that cover specific platforms – NintendoEverything, GoNintendo, XboxEra, TheXboxHub, and CompleteXbox – all of whom dedicated an article to our release.
A swathe of Vagrus fans appreciate the game’s RPG elements most; they speak of how well-written it is, how compelling its world is, or indeed, the fantastic stories that evolve through its narrative. It was no surprise, then, that a host of RPG websites – RPGamer, RPGSite, IndieGames, Niche Gamer, RPGFan, and Turnbasedlovers – all put out similar articles. The last on that list put out a fantastic blurb for the game, which we’ve featured below:
"The final title of the month is Vagrus: The Riven Realms, a sandbox, story-driven RPG with gorgeous visuals and an impressively deep lore, now making its console debut. This is the perfect opportunity for PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch owners to step into the role of a vagrus—a caravan leader navigating a dark fantasy world, trading, seeking fortune, and surviving the countless dangers the game world throws your way."
And the RPG websites weren’t all, either: the game was covered across YouTube by a variety of producers, first among which was the Spanish NintendoFiles. Next up was PlaystationEmpire, who used their sizable platform to showcase Vagrus. Finally, we were delighted to count ourselves among Switch Up’s Best New Nintendo Switch Games.
To top it all off, a number of independent YouTubers took the opportunity to do Let’s Plays of Vagrus on console, some of which you can find on the channels of MadnlooneyJR and Ingame Instincts. We’ve also included an embedded video from YouTuber FireOnXbox down below, which serves as an illuminating look at how the game plays on Xbox (and on consoles in general).
If you’re considering getting the game on console, some of these might be worth checking out. We remain grateful to our community and greatly appreciate all the mentions, tweets, likes, and comments on our posts; this, combined with our passion for continuing development, is what keeps us going.
That’s all for this week! Until next time, stay safe, stay vigilant, conquer the wasteland!
