For the first time in a long time, we have a project update for you, and it’s a doozy. Although he already began working with us as early as June 2023, we’d now like to welcome one of our newest and most talented 2D and 3D artists: Bence Monori. Bence has a talent for many things, though he is currently focused primarily on a wide range of environmental art, some of which came to the fore during the expansion Sunfire and Moonshadow.

Needless to say, being inspired by genre-defining titles that shook the industry during the 90’s – not to mention his wry sense of humor – Bence has fit right in at Lost Pilgrims. When asked for details about the coming post, the man himself obliged and provided a nice wee blurb:

I'm Bence Monori, a mural painter, graphic designer, 3D artist, and indie game developer. Although I've been involved in game development since the age of 12 using Game Maker version 6, my more serious undertakings began more recently. Inspired by games like "Heroes of Might Magic 3," "Age of Empires 1 & 2," "Fallout 1 & 2," and the Diablo series, I temporarily shifted my focus to my graphical portfolio in 2019-2020 during the first wave of COVID-19 and the onset of uncertainty. I dedicated time to learning Blender and ZBrush, creating matte painting pieces, and producing fan-related material, including the remake of the Diablo 1 trailer.

And after that, he joined us at Lost Pilgrims. It’s just as well, really; we’re lucky to have him, and having faced him in a variety of games – very different ones, mind – that also came out of the 90s, this writer can say with certainty that he certainly knows how to play the classics. Let’s just leave it at that.

Bence has his fingers in all manner of pies at the moment; whether it’s environmental art for locales that require mystique or dread, trailers for upcoming content, or numerous other tasks, we trust him to get the job done and to do it well.
