Hey everyone,
What a month it's been! We spent it looking back at the five year history of Vagrus and its development with you through the Revisited series, the anniversary update, and the team's retrospective. Seeing your memories shared as well, from your first comitati to hard-won endings, was the best part of the celebration.

While we were reminiscing, many of you also answered our Patreon survey, and in doing so, asked us in many different ways where Lost Pilgrims is headed now. So let's change gears and look forward together.
To start with the big news: we're working on an entirely new game, and it's set in the Riven Realms.
We can confirm that it is not Vagrus 2. It's an entirely new journey from a new perspective into a world we've spent decades building and are far, very far from being done exploring. We cannot share any details yet, and it may take quite a while before we can, for these are early days and we have to keep options open. But development has started, and the vast majority of our team's time, energy, and resources now go into this new project. Needless to say that we’re very excited and can barely wait to show you more when the time is right.
The new game is our future, and so we've been putting everything we can into it. We also want to be honest with you: game and expansion sales no longer cover the studio's running costs, and we've been dipping into our savings to bridge the gap and make sure the new game gets finished and stands up to our quality standards.
That said, we're not ready to say goodbye to Vagrus completely, and we know many of you aren't either. So we're giving it a way forward of its own, albeit a more modest one.

From now on, Supporter Pack purchases and certain Patreon pledges specifically will go into a dedicated Vagrus fund: the “jar”. Its contents won’t go toward developing the new game. Instead, the jar fund will cover small content and feature changes for Vagrus. How much we can do, and how fast, depends on how full the jar gets. We feel that this is necessary if we want to do right by our players as well as our studio – the goal is to keep making these games and not go out of business while doing so.
And so, apart from the mandatory fixes, you will see free content and feature updates as much as the jar allows it. As it happens, we already know what comes next from that list.

We know that the Valley of Sleepers has been waiting for its proper ending for a long time. So have we. Finishing what we started there with a meaty questline is the jar's first goal. We fully intend to get there, and we’ve had detailed plans about how we’d do it. The jar decides how soon it can happen.
A new way you can add to the contents of the jar (if you so wish) is the upcoming ‘Vocative’ Supporter Pack we briefly showed some time ago alongside the ‘Cultured’ pack. This is another collection of optional, unique companion cosmetics as a token of our gratitude for the support. The theme this time is centered around alternative life paths the companions could take – but didn’t.

To everyone who picked up one of our earlier packs: thank you, sincerely! You've kept us on the road longer than you know.
Naturally, there's no obligation in doing any of this. Playing, leaving a review, or telling a friend about Vagrus are already helping a small studio like ours more than you'd think. Five years ago we set out on this road together. The next stretch leads somewhere new, and we're just glad you're here for it.

We continue the celebrations of Vagrus’s fifth anniversary by holding a special Steam sale, making this a great time to join us in the Riven Realms or return to the wasteland for another journey. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or are just discovering Vagrus, we hope you’ll take this opportunity to experience the game and its expansions at a reduced price.
Our new patch brings a range of fixes and improvements focused on stability, reliability, and overall gameplay smoothness. This update addresses issues affecting exploration, Companion Combat, settlement interfaces, and savegame data, while also improving loading times for larger saves and performance in battles with large rosters. Check out the full patch notes below!
Important Note: Considering the extent of the improvements, there is little to no chance that we broke nothing in the process. Assume that we did not want to make anyone's life harder. If you see something amiss, please flag it to us using the usual channels, like the inbuilt reporting tool (F1 button), forums, and our Discord server.

Fixes & Improvements
This is it for now. We will be back soon with even more updates, until then stay safe, stay awesome, and conquer the wasteland!
